Adrianne Palicki Joins Marvel’s Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. As Mockingbird and the Marvel Universe couldn’t be happier!
The last time we saw actress Adrianne Palicki she was in G.I. Joe: Retaliation, playing Lady Jaye. Now she will be joining the cast of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. next season. The character’s real name in the comics is Bobbi Morse, and is also known as one-time wife of Avengers’ Hawkeye and former West Coast Avengers member Mockingbird.
A member of S.H.I.E.L.D. and The Avengers in the comics, Mockingbird was first created by Gerry Conway and Barry Smith and introduced in “Astonishing Tales” #6 in 1971. Though she doesn’t have any super powers, she was injected with an experimental serum that gave her enhanced strength and speed. The character also became romantically involved with Hawkeye in the source material.
The “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” cast includes Clark Gregg as fan favorite Phil Coulson, along with Ming-Na Wen as Agent Melinda May, Brett Dalton as Agent Grant Ward, Chloe Bennet as Skye, Iain De Caestecker as Agent Leo Fitz and Elizabeth Henstridge as Agent Jemma Simmons.
Palicki’s is no stranger to super hero entertainment. She appeared in an episode of The CW’s “Smallville” and was cast in the role of Wonder Woman for David E. Kelley’s failed series in 2011.
Palicki will debut in the fifth episode of the series with the potential to return for a few more appearances in the second season and she may not necessarily be an ally to Coulson (Clark Gregg) and his team.
Patton Oswalt teased Monkingbird’s appearance on the show last month during the San Diego Comic-Con that Bobbi Morse, AKA Mockingbird, would be joining the crew of “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.”
